Purchasing Tamarindo Real Estate (any property, anywhere for that matter) can be an emotional, time-consuming, and complex process. There are a few things that you can do to help make the process go as smooth as possible:
1. Check your liquidity-Tamarindo Real Estate is a cash and carry market. Remember to have supporting documentation of the origin of the funds ready.
2. Consider taking out a loan on existing collateral in your home country. This is often cheaper and the best route to go. Costa Rican banks do not lend to foreign buyers.
3. Find a great Tamarindo Real Estate Buyer's agent.-Traditionally all Tamarindo real estate agents represent Sellers in a transaction, thus when you are not working with a buyer's agent, they are less likely to negotiate the best price or contingencies for you.A buyer's agent's job and fiduciary responsibility (meaning legal duty) is to you, the buyer. Before working with any agent, please them if he or she is a buyer's agent, seller's agent, and or both (ie dual agency).
