ROOF:

Under the solar array is a very different roof than 99.99% of Costa Rican homes. Only two homes in all of Guanacaste have it.

First, the roof features veritable insulation sandwiched between its corrugated metal section and the home's ceiling, very rare in Costa Rica, which increases your comfort while significantly lowering electricity costs.

Second, the roof is fully-encapsulated with a high-tech polymer on the exterior. The clay tiles are glued on instead of nailed, thus there are zero roof penetrations or leaks, even under torrid tropical downpours. Thousands of potential leak points are found in the typical roof of even the finest Costa Rican homes given they do not use this type of system.
